Introduction
The total patch is 250 ft in Length and 18 ft Wide, whereas the total patch is divided among three groups which gives us a patch of 83’5” by 18’.
The elements that are present on the site are: Pavers, Mounds of Rubble, Seating space, Gas Cylinder, Kiosk, Garbage, Dustbin, Steps, Tarpaulin, Trees, Signage. |
Used as a hub for people to assemble in groups, the site also serves as a spot for the street vendors. Abandoned construction material like stones, pipes, planks, etc. are used as makeshift benches. While the site is very green owing to the presence of full grown tress, the entire strip/site is scattered with rubble/construction debris and is dirty as both the vendors and the consumers litter in and around the area.
There is parking on either side of the strip. |
Observations:
- Food stalls are cluttered, unhygienic, and are not in a proper condition.
- There are no proper dustbins; thus the garbage is littered all over the area.
- There is no circulation and the space doesn’t allow ways access or movement.
- Rubble and other construction material are lying everywhere with broken pieces of glass shards that might hurt anyone.
- There is a seating area in front of the stalls but it is minimal and inappropriate.
- Seating area is either made of pipes lying here and there or from other waste material.
- The parking area is also affected by the unsuitable and improper arrangement and landscaping of the raised strip between the main road parking and the service road.
- There is building that is being constructed just behind the service road
